Chatsworth House - Coach Ramble, August 2008
| The first "coach ramble" for some time was organised by Kate Buck
during August 2008. Following the journey to Chatsworth, the group split
into "walkers" and "tourists" with Kate leading those who wanted to
visit the house (with the option of a short walk) and Andy Whelan
leading a walk to Bakewell. The organisation by Kate was excellent and
everything went without a hitch, we even had good weather despite it
being the wettest August on record! As you will see from the final picture in this set it was obviously a bit too much for Andy, probably due to the stress of getting us lost at least twice, or was it three times? Anyway, we got to Bakewell in time for liquid refreshment which may have been the real reason for Andy to "nod off"! Many thanks to Kate for all the hard work in organising a day which everyone enjoyed, thanks also to Andy for leading the walk |
